LINCOLNSHIRE WOLDS WALKING FESTIVAL LAUNCH | 10:00 am to 4:00 pm. Based at the disused quarry at Welton le Wold, the days
activities include a series of short walks and a longer walk. Entertainers will also be on site, running workshops on such walk-related themes as stilt and tight rope walking, along with activities such as minibeast hunts and face painting. A range of organisations will be there to provide information on wildlife, geology, archaeology and walking so there really will be something for everyone to enjoy.
Part of this site is in private ownership and has restricted access so dogs are not allowed on this event.

Event information
• Guided walks are free of charge, however the Lincolnshire Wolds Countryside Service may collect donations for organisations directly relating to the events. Any bus fares, car parking or entrance fees need to be paid for, unless otherwise stated. Entry to shows, fairs and events need to be paid for.
• Advance booking is only required for 1 event – 28 May day walk.
• Children are welcome, but under 16’s must be accompanied by an adult.
• If your dog does accompany you on a walk, please keep it on a lead at all times – no dogs are allowed on the 17 May event and 28 May day walk.
• For all events you will need to bring your own food and drink.
• Please bring suitable clothing for the weather, including suitable footwear for muddy paths. Please bring a drink with you in hot weather.
• A leader or representative will be at the start of every event, whatever the weather.
• If you are unsure of your capability to complete an event, please contact the Lincolnshire Wolds Countryside Service for further information one week before the event.
• Please note our office is only staffed Monday to Friday.
• The Lincolnshire Wolds Countryside Service reserves the right to change or cancel an event without prior notice.
• Whilst we make all our events as safe and as enjoyable as possible, any event attended is done so at your own risk.
